PAYMENT

Payment is made securely by PayPal, iDEAL, Bankcontact/Mister Cash or Creditcard. All major credit and debit cards are accepted worldwide by PayPal.
Pricing in case of typographical errors in price (and the price is therefore no longer proportional to the product), The Ocean Republic has the right not to send these products. You will be informed by e-mail.
As we are based in the Netherlands, payments are made in Euro’s and including VAT (21%). All our prices are calculated to current rates of currency exchange. Some bank exchange rates may vary slightly from prices shown.
Rate changes reserved. Price changes do not affect current orders.

 

SHIPPING

Ocean Republic ships internationally and doesn’t charge any shipping costs. The packages are send by standard delivery. Other shipping methods are possible but additionally charged. Please contact us at info@theoceanrepublic.com for further information.
Packages are dispatched from the Netherlands within 1-4 days after receipt of payment. If this is not possible, for whatever reason (e.g. if an article is temporarily out of stock) you will receive an email about this immediately. 

DOMESTIC (NL) SHIPPING

Delivery time is estimated at 2 - 5 working days.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Delivery time is estimated at 6 - 28 working days.

- The Ocean Republic is not accountable for any duty, import or customs charges that may occur in your package shipment, nor responsible for lost or stolen items.
- When products are shipped internationally they may be subject to customs clearance procedures, which can cause delays beyond original delivery estimates. 

 

RETURNS

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with your purchase, you can contact us within 7 days of receipt of order. Returns are only accepted for items of unworn, in perfect condition and in the original packaging (with tags attached), otherwise this policy will be rendered void. 14K gold or items 'made to order' can not be returned. 

- Earrings are non-returnable due to hygiene reasons.
- Please contact us prior before sending items return. Buyer is responsible for all postage costs. Please include your order number or invoice with your return, so we can move the process along for you. 
- Note that every article is handmade so it may be that your order is slightly different from the pictures on our website.
- In the case of an incorrect or damaged article, let us know within three days of receipt. After you have the product returned to us, we can send you a new one.
- Alterations are available upon request.
- The refund will be processed as soon as we have received the items. However, please allow up to 14 days from the day you return the product for your account to be credited.

For returns for plating or repair service:
Ocean Republic provides a repair, re-plating and oxidising service. Please contact us at info@theoceanrepublic.com for further information.
If you need to send your item back to Ocean Republic, we cannot be responsible for goods that may be lost or damaged in transit, therefore please ensure any returned items are thoroughly packaged with bubble wrap, securely and clearly addressed. As soon as we receive your item you will get a confirmation through email.

 

WRONG SIZE
Please take a moment to check your size before ordering. If you have any questions regarding sizing, or need a custom size, please contact us before ordering so we can help you.

If you order the wrong size you may return a piece for resizing within 3 days of receiving your order. Please note that you will be responsible for all shipping charges.

 

PRIVACY

When you order at Ocean Republic, we ask for your name, delivery address, telephone number and email address. We will not provide this information to third parties. Other information (e.g. obtained via our e-mail address), we only use the contents of this website to improve.

 

PROPRIETARY RIGHTS 

All intellectual and industrial property rights of our products must be fully and unconditionally respected. Texts, logos and picture materials on this website may not be copied, published or used without our written permission. They are the property of The Ocean Republic.

 GOVERNING LAW

Ocean Republic has at all times the right to change these terms and / or contents of this website.

 

JEWELLERY CARE

Each piece of the Ocean Republic jewellery is carefully hand-crafted and made from a variety of materials as sterling silver, gold, black oxidised sterling silver, black Rhodium sterling silver and recycled brass. Proper jewellery care is essential in order to keep your jewellery looking beautiful for years. To minimize wear, avoid wearing your jewellery while performing activities where they may get damaged, scratched or come into contact with chemicals. We advice to take off your jewellery when you are sleeping, showering or swimming. 

GOLD

For gold and gold plated items, please avoid contact with chemical substances including hairspray, cosmetics, perfumes and chlorines. 
Please keep in mind that proper storing and usage are essential to maintain the jewellery in good condition. You can store your jewellery in the original Ocean Republic packaging.
Gold plated items must not be polished with cloths, as this will wear away the surface area. Plated items will fade off in time with regular wear and tear. We provide an affordable professional re-plating service. Please contact us at info@theoceanrepublic.com for further information.

SILVER

Sterling silver jewellery and oxidised sterling silver will be polished clean by continually wearing on the skin, it then develops a lovely shiny silver colour. If you store your silver it can get a natural oxidisation look as well.
To clean sterling silver, gently wash with warm water and baking soda, and polish it up with a soft cotton silver cloth. 
Oxidised finishes must not be polished with cloths, as this will wear away the surface area exposing the bright silver underneath. Oxidisation will fade off in time with regular wear and tear. BRASS

Just like silver, brass jewellery will get a natural oxidisation look over time. We recommend avoiding cleaning processes if you like this look. To clean brass, polish it up with a soft cotton silver cloth.

 

 

Jewellery Repair

Repairs to damaged items are assessed by case and may incur a fee. To request a repair please contact us at: info@theoceanrepublic.com
For items that need extensive work additional costs may apply which will be determined after receiving the piece at our studio. 
Repair times may vary and are handled on a case by case basis.
